Zendesk Begins Jamf and Intune Sync Rollout for IT Service Desks

Eligible Suite Growth-and-higher accounts can import managed-device records as the rollout reaches them. Showing a device on the right employee’s ticket still requires an asset association.

Zendesk began rolling out direct, automated imports from Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune on September 24, 2026, giving eligible IT service desks a way to bring managed-device records into Zendesk IT asset management. On an employee’s laptop ticket, an agent can see asset details in ticket context when the device is associated with the relevant user or organization.

The change is a dedicated data-sync tool. Zendesk had already documented Jamf Pro and Intune action-flow options. With the new tool, an administrator can choose to create asset records, update existing ones or do both, then inspect run status, processed-record counts and errors on individual records.

Access and setup

The sync is rolling out to accounts with IT asset management; Zendesk has not described it as a completed rollout to every eligible account. The underlying IT asset management feature became generally available on May 11, 2026, for Zendesk Suite Growth and higher, with 500 asset records included per account. Administrators must turn on the feature, authenticate the external system and map fields before importing records.

Daily updates, with a separate ticket-linking step

Zendesk’s sync guide says the import runs daily as a full, one-way sync into Zendesk, with a maximum of five active syncs per connected external system. Data syncs cannot map relationships between assets and users or organizations. A team that wants imported device details on the right employee’s ticket must establish that association separately; importing the device record alone does not do it.
