Riva’s GoldMine Sync Stops October 1; Support Ends September 30

The cutoff affects contacts, calendar activities, tasks and email synchronized through Riva. Customers with contracts crossing the deadline may qualify for prorated terms.

Riva says its GoldMine CRM synchronization connection will stop functioning October 1, 2026, after a final day of support on September 30. The cutoff applies to Riva’s connection, not to GoldMine CRM itself. Teams relying on that connection to keep GoldMine and their email systems in sync need another arrangement for that workflow.

GoldMine describes the Riva add-on as background synchronization of contacts, calendar activities, tasks and email with an email server. Riva says existing connections can operate through September 30, but it has already stopped new trials, purchases and deployments. Connection licenses terminate October 1.

Contract terms at the cutoff

Riva says customers whose renewal falls before September 30 may be eligible for a prorated term ending that day. Those whose agreements extend beyond October 1 may be eligible for a prorated refund of unused time. Customers should check which provision applies to their agreement rather than assume a refund is automatic.

Riva attributes the retirement to Microsoft’s Exchange Web Services transition and says it will not move GoldMine synchronization customers to Microsoft Graph. Its September 25 general release describes expanded Graph support and says existing EWS connections can remain as configured. That wider update does not change the GoldMine-specific October 1 cutoff in Riva’s retirement notice.

Evaluate the workflow, not just the connector name

CompanionLink’s GoldMine page lists a PC-based Professional product for contact and activity synchronization with Outlook at $149.95 for a one-time license. It separately describes a server-based DoubleLook Enterprise product supporting Office 365. Those offerings give GoldMine users connectors to examine, but the descriptions do not establish that either duplicates Riva’s full contacts, calendar, tasks and email workflow. The buying question is which of those exchanges a team needs to preserve, and whether its chosen connector supports them.
